P.O.C.-Pop of Color

Today’s post is all about a P.O.C (Pop of Color). I love pairing basics and bringing the look together with my accessories.

I’ve mentioned my love for blazers in previous posts. The one I’m wearing here is from BCBG. Zara and BCBG are my two favorite places for blazers because of the structure, variety of styles, and reasonable price points. *BCBG can be on the higher side but keep an eye out for sales. I got this one off of the flash sale site called Rue-la-laIMG_0413Track Pants!! One of my favorite trends. The pair I’m wearing is from White House Black Market. I’ve linked a similar pair on their website currently on sale for $39.99! Track pants can be worn with sandals, but I usually like to dress mine up with a wedge or a heel. I’m wearing Michael Kors caged heels I found on sale last Summer at Tootsies. I’ve linked a similar pair that are available now at NordstromIMG_0390Layering and “stacking” different wrist pieces is still one of my favorite trends. My watch was a birthday gift from my hubby a few years ago. A similar style can be found at Nordstrom. The gunmetal bracelet is by one of my favorite jewelry designers called Vita Fede. Her jewelry line is both unique and edgy. You can purchase directly from the website or locally (Houston, TX) at French Cuff Boutique. My black wrap bracelet from Stella and Dot is discontinued, but you can find a similar style here. I purchased my turquoise ring from a vendor at Jazz Fest in New Orleans several years ago. I love finding little treasures that hold sentimental value. IMG_0394The ivory blouse I’m wearing is from Ann Taylor Loft (also referenced in my previous post: Shades of Blue). It’s a great, lightweight layering piece that can be worn under jackets or cardigans. They have it in several different colors for only $39.50.
IMG_0415Last but not least….this bag. It has quickly become one of my favorites. When I’m not working, I am a cross body girl. I love a big satchel now and then, but for me a cross body is much more practical. I bid on this one and won it at a charity event called Heroes for Handbags. I lucked out and was the highest bidder, but I actually wound up paying less than the original retail price. I told my hubby I actually “saved” money by spending it. I’m pretty sure only women understand retail math 😉
