Red Lips and Leather

I like to call today’s inspiration “Rocker Chic.” A little edgy, a little fun. I like to play with fashion and mix pieces together that may seem unexpected. In this case, a leather skirt and a t-shirt.
FullSizeRender-12My t-shirt is from J. Crew. The Vintage Cotton V-Neck T-Shirt from J.Crew is my all-time favorite t-shirt.  They come in a variety of colors, they are super soft and lightweight, and they are currently 25% off.Processed with VSCOcam with s3 presetA black leather skirt is a key piece for Fall. The one I’m wearing is Sally LaPointe from Atrium Ready to Wear. I was drawn to the wrap silhouette and the organza detail at the bottom which gives it a peek-a-boo feel and adds additional length. I scored this particular skirt during a Summer sale so I’ve linked a similar asymmetrical style by Madewell.
IMG_1046A classic denim jacket is a must-have basic for every wardrobe. The one I’m wearing is from Gap a few years ago, but one of my current favorites is by Kut from the Kloth and is available at Nordstrom. It is under $100, it has a bit of spandex so it tends to be more fitted that a traditional denim jacket, and it comes in regular and petite sizes.
image1As you know, I am loving booties for Fall. Peep toe ankle boots are a great way to transition into Fall footwear while we’re still experiencing warmer temps. These “Ghost” Open Toe Booties by Joe’s are both chic and weather appropriate.image2I often find that when I’m working with clients and helping them style their wardrobe, they will say to me , “wow, I would never have put that together!” Most of us tend to stay in our fashion comfort zones. We pair things together because we bought them together or that is what the mannequin was wearing. Take a chance, try to think outside of the box, and if you can’t then call me and I will do it for you!

XO-Natalie
